ARC Raiders PvE Mode Faces Complaints Over Player Griefing

ARC Raiders' new PvE mode is already facing complaints from players who say others are finding ways to disrupt their matches despite the removal of direct player-versus-player damage.

Embark Studios introduced the experimental PvE matchmaking option on October 13, allowing players to explore, collect loot, and fight robotic enemies without taking damage from other Raiders' weapons.

However, according to reports highlighted by IGN, some players have discovered ways to interfere with others through movement abilities, environmental hazards, and loot-related tactics.

One frequently reported problem involves the Bull Rush ability, which allows players to push others away from valuable loot or into dangerous situations. Some players have also complained about others blocking pathways or interfering with extraction attempts.

Locked loot rooms have become another source of frustration. Players carrying the required keys may encounter others waiting nearby to collect valuable items once the doors are opened.

There are also reports of players using decoy grenades to attract hostile ARC machines toward unsuspecting Raiders, potentially putting them in danger without directly attacking them.

The complaints highlight a challenge for Embark Studios: removing PvP damage does not necessarily prevent disruptive behavior.

According to the developer's official announcement, the PvE test runs from October 13 to October 20, 2026. The mode also features reduced overall loot value and restrictions on certain map conditions.

Community reactions remain mixed. While some players appreciate the opportunity to explore without direct PvP encounters, others believe the mode needs additional adjustments to discourage griefing and improve cooperation.

Embark Studios has not confirmed whether PvE matchmaking will become a permanent feature after the testing period.
