Assetto Corsa EVO Update 0.10 Adds Real German Roads

Assetto Corsa EVO is preparing to introduce a major free-roam update on December 9, 2026, allowing players to explore a realistic recreation of Germany's Eifel region surrounding the famous Nürburgring circuit.

Developer KUNOS Simulazioni and publisher 505 Games confirmed the release date for Update 0.10 during Sim Racing Expo 2026 in Frankfurt.

According to the official announcement from KUNOS Simulazioni and 505 Games, the update introduces a free-roam environment based on real-world geographic data, with selected areas recreated at a 1:1 scale.

Players will be able to leave traditional racing circuits and explore public roads, countryside routes, nearby villages, and off-road paths.

The initial map includes areas surrounding the Nürburgring Nordschleife, with additional sections planned for future updates.

Unlike conventional open-world racing environments that prioritize fictional layouts, Assetto Corsa EVO aims to reproduce actual road networks and regional landmarks as accurately as possible.

The new mode will also feature dynamic weather, day and night cycles, and AI-controlled traffic, creating a more authentic driving experience outside competitive racing events.

Players looking for structured challenges can participate in optional driving activities, including Time Attack events integrated into the open world.

The free-roam mode was available for public demonstrations during Sim Racing Expo, which took place from October 16 to 18 in Frankfurt.

Racing driver and Nürburgring specialist Misha Charoudin also appeared in an official presentation comparing the game's virtual environment with real locations in Germany.

Assetto Corsa EVO remains available in Early Access on PC through Steam, with Update 0.10 representing a major expansion of its driving experience.

The December release will mark the beginning of the Eifel free-roam experience, with the playable area expected to expand through subsequent updates.
