Battlefield 6 Season 5 Skins Spark AI-Generated Art Claims

Battlefield 6 players are accusing Electronic Arts of using generative AI to create cosmetic items in the game's Season 5 Battle Pass after discovering several unusual design details.

The controversy emerged shortly after Season 5 launched on October 13, with players sharing screenshots of operator skins and weapon charms across Reddit.

One of the most discussed examples features an operator carrying five nearly identical pistols attached to his equipment. Another character skin includes a sleeve patch reading "Secuty," apparently a misspelling of "Security."

According to MP1st, players have also questioned the design of a weapon charm called Drawing Dead.

The charm depicts a skeleton holding a rifle, but some players have pointed to unusual details, including what appears to be a distorted barrel, questionable trigger guard placement, and inconsistencies in the character's fingers.

These observations have led to speculation that AI-generated artwork may have been used during the creation of certain Battle Pass rewards.

However, visual mistakes alone do not establish whether generative AI was involved. Some community members have challenged the accusations, suggesting that several apparent errors may be explained by the artwork's perspective or design.

The criticism has also raised concerns about quality control, particularly because cosmetic rewards are an important part of Battlefield 6's seasonal progression system.

Neither Electronic Arts nor Battlefield Studios has publicly confirmed the use of generative AI in the disputed Season 5 cosmetics.

Until further information becomes available, the allegations remain unverified.
