Bloodborne Runs on Android Without PS4 Emulation
Bloodborne can now run on Android devices through an unofficial fan-made port, allowing players to experience FromSoftware's PlayStation 4 exclusive without a traditional PS4 emulator.
According to IXBT Games, developer ducvd89 has released a project called Bloodborne-Android on GitHub. The experimental port builds on an earlier Linux project and is designed for Android devices powered by Snapdragon processors.
The developer tested the game on the AYN Thor handheld, equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, and the Oppo Find N5, which features a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
On the AYN Thor, Bloodborne reportedly reached approximately 34–35 FPS in Central Yharnam without frame generation. Achieving this performance required reducing graphical detail and disabling certain visual effects.
Unlike conventional PS4 emulation, Bloodborne-Android uses native Android components alongside FEXCore to translate the game's x86-64 instructions for ARM64 processors. Its graphics are also translated to Vulkan through a modified rendering system.
The project supports touchscreen controls, physical gamepads, FSR 3.1 upscaling, mods, and optional frame generation through Lossless Scaling. Players must provide their own compatible Bloodborne game files, as the project does not distribute the game itself.
Despite these improvements, the port remains experimental. The developer has not confirmed whether Bloodborne can be completed from beginning to end without major technical problems.
The project is available through GitHub, where development continues with performance improvements and compatibility updates.
Sony has not announced an official Android or PC version of Bloodborne, making this community project an alternative way to run the game on supported hardware.
