Control Resonant Sells 1 Million Copies Worldwide
Control Resonant has officially sold over one million copies worldwide, Remedy Entertainment announced on October 15, 2026. The milestone comes just three weeks after the supernatural action RPG launched on September 24 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
According to Gematsu, Remedy celebrated the achievement through a social media post thanking players for supporting the game.
The sales milestone makes Control Resonant the fastest-selling game in Remedy Entertainment's history. As reported by PC Gamer, the sequel reached one million sales significantly faster than Alan Wake 2, which took approximately two months to achieve the same result.
Control Resonant continues the story of the original Control, released in 2019. However, the sequel shifts the focus from Jesse Faden to her brother, Dylan Faden, who must confront a supernatural crisis spreading across a distorted version of Manhattan.
The game introduces expanded character progression, new supernatural abilities, and a shapeshifting melee weapon called the Aberrant. Players explore environments affected by unusual gravitational forces while facing threats connected to the mysterious events surrounding the Federal Bureau of Control.
The achievement also coincides with the release of physical editions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on October 15.
The original Control has surpassed six million copies sold worldwide, establishing the franchise as one of Remedy's major properties. With Control Resonant reaching one million sales in just three weeks, the sequel has recorded a strong commercial start.
