Crash of the Titans PC Port Adds DLSS, 4K and Unlocked FPS

Crash of the Titans has received an unofficial native Windows port through CrashRecomp, a fan project that brings the 2007 Xbox 360 game to PC with modern graphics options, unlocked frame rates, and mod support.

Developed by VitoMiguelF, the project uses XenonRecomp to statically recompile the original Xbox 360 PowerPC code into x86-64 instructions. A custom runtime handles graphics, audio, input, and save data without relying on a conventional Xbox 360 emulator.

According to the developer's official GitHub repository, CrashRecomp supports internal rendering resolutions up to 4K, with 30, 60, 120, and unlimited FPS options.

Graphics features include NVIDIA DLSS and DLAA for compatible RTX GPUs, AMD FSR 3.1 upscaling, anisotropic filtering, and adjustable visual effects.

The project also introduces a lighting remaster with ambient occlusion, indirect lighting, and improved shadows. An optional HD AI Remaster adds upscaled textures and enhanced character models.

Players can use keyboard and mouse controls, Xbox or PlayStation controllers, and local two-player cooperative gameplay. The port also includes skippable cutscenes, Brazilian Portuguese translation, and tools for creating custom modifications.

CrashRecomp targets Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems with Vulkan 1.3-compatible graphics hardware. Linux and Steam Deck compatibility remain experimental goals rather than officially supported platforms.

The project is separate from MojoRecomp, another independent effort to bring Crash of the Titans to Windows.

CrashRecomp does not distribute copyrighted game files. Players must provide their own legally obtained Xbox 360 game assets to use the unofficial port.
