Crimson Desert DLC Reveals New Stories, Ships and Housing

Pearl Abyss has released a detailed overview of Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown, revealing new storylines, underwater exploration, shipbuilding, housing improvements, and additional activities ahead of the expansion's October 29, 2026 launch.

According to the official Charting the Unknown features announcement, the expansion introduces three separate storylines featuring Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane. These become available through the Journal after completing the main campaign.

A separate ocean-focused storyline also unlocks after completing the Howling Hill quest, expanding the adventure beyond the mainland of Pywel.

Players will be able to explore underwater ruins, discover treasure chests, encounter new creatures, and use specialized diving equipment to remain submerged longer.

The expansion also introduces ship ownership, allowing players to build or purchase vessels and travel across the ocean.

Housing receives a major upgrade, with players gaining the ability to construct homes from the ground up. Three castles can also be claimed after completing the required quests, with customizable interiors and courtyards.

Additional activities include managing businesses such as restaurants and smithies, alongside new relationship options involving friendships and romance.

For combat-focused players, the Garden of Trials introduces consecutive boss encounters that reward successful participants with special items.

Pearl Abyss has also shared an official gameplay overview video demonstrating the expansion's main features.

Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown launches on October 29 at 22:00 UTC for supported platforms, with availability beginning October 30 in parts of Asia.
