Crimson Desert Expansion Adds Ships, Diving and New Stories
Pearl Abyss has revealed new details about Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown, an expansion that introduces ocean exploration, ship-based adventures, expanded housing features, and additional storylines across the world of Pywel.
According to the official Steam listing from Pearl Abyss, the expansion takes players beyond the mainland, allowing them to command ships and explore islands located off Pywel's coast.
Underwater exploration is another major addition. Players will be able to dive beneath the surface to discover sunken ruins, hidden treasures, and other mysteries scattered throughout the ocean.
The expansion also introduces new enemies on land and at sea, giving players additional combat encounters as they explore previously inaccessible locations.
Beyond exploration, Charting the Unknown expands the game's housing and management systems. Players can create more personalized homes, rent facilities, and manage businesses to earn money throughout their adventures.
Social interactions will also receive attention, with new opportunities to develop deeper relationships with characters encountered across Pywel.
The additional story content follows Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane as they investigate new conflicts, ancient secrets, and unexplored regions.
The Steam listing identifies Charting the Unknown as downloadable content requiring the base game Crimson Desert Enhanced. Its listed release date is October 29, 2026, although availability should be checked again before publication.
The expansion is intended to broaden Crimson Desert's exploration and progression systems, introducing activities beyond the land-based adventures of the original experience.
