Cyberpunk 2077 Co-Op Mod Reveals Gameplay Ahead of October 19 Beta

Cyberpunk 2077 is getting an unofficial co-op multiplayer mod that will allow players to explore Night City together. A newly released gameplay trailer offers a first look at the project, showcasing several multiplayer features ahead of its planned open beta on October 19, 2026.

The fan-made modification aims to introduce cooperative gameplay without official involvement from CD Projekt Red, giving players the opportunity to join friends in the game's open world.

Cyberpunk 2077 Co-Op Mod Shows Multiplayer Features

According to IXBT Games, the mod will add a cooperative multiplayer option directly to Cyberpunk 2077's main menu.

Players will be able to select a male or female character, host their own sessions, invite friends, or join existing games.

The modification is also designed to support vehicles, NPCs, combat, dialogue sequences, cutscenes, and in-game shops. Additional features include reviving teammates and transferring money between players.

These systems could allow friends to experience more of Night City together rather than simply exploring the map.

Open Beta Scheduled for October 19

The development team behind the project, MDRevoice, plans to launch an open beta on October 19, giving players their first opportunity to test the multiplayer experience.

However, the creators have emphasized that the modification is an independent fan project and is neither approved nor supported by CD Projekt Red.

The studio behind Cyberpunk 2077 remains focused on its upcoming projects, including The Witcher 4 and the Cyberpunk sequel.

Players interested in the modification can watch the gameplay trailer on YouTube ahead of the beta release.

The upcoming test will provide a clearer picture of how well the cooperative features work in practice.
