Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 Adds Dual-Wielding and Console Mods
CD Projekt Red has officially announced Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5, a free update launching on October 22, 2026, with dual-wielding combat, cross-platform mod support, new quests, and additional customization options.
According to the official Cyberpunk 2077 patch notes, the update introduces a new Double Trouble perk in the Cool skill tree, allowing players to wield two Power Pistols or Revolvers simultaneously.
Another major addition is cross-platform mod support powered by mod.io. Players on PC, Mac, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S will be able to browse and install selected community-created mods directly through the game.
The update also introduces Clampdown, a new side quest connected to Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, alongside Welcome to Paradise, a separate mission exploring the history of Night City.
Players will receive new clothing sets, hairstyles, a radio station featuring Edgerunners music, and Glamdocs that allow customization of arm cyberware.
Console players will also gain an adjustable field-of-view slider, while the PC version receives DLSS 4.5 support, including Dynamic Multi Frame Generation on compatible hardware.
Additional improvements include updated HDR rendering, performance optimizations, and changes to save management.
Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 launches on October 22 for PC, Mac through Steam, GOG and Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Nintendo Switch 2 and the Mac App Store version will receive the update in the following days.
