Daredevil: Born Again Will End With Season 3, Marvel Confirms
Daredevil: Born Again will conclude with its third season on Disney+, with Marvel Television confirming that the series was planned to reach its conclusion after three seasons. However, the decision does not necessarily mean the end of Charlie Cox's portrayal of Matt Murdock.
Speaking at New York Comic Con 2026, Cox explained that the cast had been better prepared for the conclusion of Born Again than they were when Netflix unexpectedly canceled the original Daredevil series in 2018.
The actor said the team had a clearer understanding of the show's future, allowing them to approach its final chapter with more preparation.
Marvel Television head Brad Winderbaum also addressed the decision during an interview on The Brandon Davis Show, explaining that the studio intended to conclude Daredevil: Born Again after three seasons, matching the length of the original Netflix series.
Winderbaum added that Marvel would evaluate the future of Matt Murdock after completing the current storyline, leaving the possibility of further appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe open.
According to Winderbaum, Marvel intends to complete the current storyline before considering what comes next for Daredevil within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The upcoming third season will also continue the reunion of characters from Marvel's former Netflix shows, including Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, and Finn Jones as Danny Rand.
Their return has raised expectations for a larger Defenders reunion, although Marvel has not announced a separate project featuring the team.
Daredevil: Born Again premiered in 2025, bringing back Cox alongside Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk and Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page.
The third and final season is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in 2027, with Marvel yet to announce an exact release date.
While Born Again is approaching its conclusion, the future of Matt Murdock and the wider Defenders characters remains open.
