Dead by Daylight Is Removing Chucky From Stores in November

Behaviour Interactive has confirmed that Chucky, the iconic killer from the Child's Play franchise, will be removed from Dead by Daylight's in-game and platform stores on November 24, 2026.

The announcement marks the end of new purchases for The Good Guy, nearly three years after the character joined the multiplayer horror game in November 2023.

According to Behaviour Interactive's official announcement, Chucky and his associated cosmetics will become unavailable for purchase after 11 AM Eastern Time on November 24.

However, players who unlock the character before the deadline will retain permanent access to him, including previously purchased outfits and other content.

Existing owners can continue playing as Chucky, upgrading his abilities, earning Prestige rewards, and using his add-ons after the removal date.

The developer also confirmed that Chucky's three unique perks will remain available. Players who already own the character will keep their original perk names, while other players will find renamed versions in the general Killer perk pool.

To mark the character's departure, Behaviour Interactive is offering a 50% discount on Chucky-related content across supported platforms.

The sale begins October 26 on Epic Games Store and Xbox, November 2 on PlayStation, and November 10 on Steam, with regional Nintendo Switch dates varying.

Behaviour Interactive has not publicly confirmed the specific reason for Chucky's removal. Although licensing arrangements may be involved, the company has not officially identified an expired agreement as the cause.

Chucky will remain playable for existing owners, and the developer says future bug fixes will continue.
