Def Jam Studio Beta 3.3 Reportedly Adds Fighters and Arenas

Def Jam Studio is reportedly receiving a Beta 3.3 update introducing additional playable fighters, expanded character-import tools, and a new arena editor for Def Jam Vendetta.

The update is attributed to the Mod Forever community, which has been developing tools to customize the classic Def Jam wrestling and fighting games.

According to the latest announcement circulating online, Beta 3.3 introduces 29 fighters for Def Jam: Fight for NY, including DMX, 50 Cent, Eminem, Lloyd Banks, and DJ Whoo Kid.

The roster reportedly includes another 24 characters drawn from WWE SmackDown vs. Raw games, expanding the selection of wrestlers and musicians available through modifications.

Another major addition is a character-import system designed to bring custom 3D models into Def Jam: Fight for NY and Def Jam Vendetta.

The reported Vendetta Arena Editor also introduces 37 arenas inspired by WCW Mayhem, ECW, WWF No Mercy, and Virtual Pro Wrestling 2.

These features build on earlier work from Mod Forever, whose publicly documented tools already include character imports, moveset editing, texture replacement, and custom ISO creation.

The developer previously showcased DMX and 50 Cent appearing in Def Jam: Fight for NY, alongside characters adapted from other wrestling games.

However, the specific Beta 3.3 release notes and the claimed totals of 29 fighters and 37 arenas have not yet been independently verified.

Def Jam Studio is a community-created modding toolkit, not an official game update or a native PC port. Its modifications are not affiliated with the original game's publishers.
