Delta 2.0 Turns iPhone Duo Into a Nintendo DS Emulator
Delta 2.0 has officially launched with dedicated support for Apple's foldable iPhone Duo, allowing users to play Nintendo DS games through a dual-screen layout that closely resembles Nintendo's original handheld.
Released on October 22, the update introduces controller skins designed specifically for the iPhone Duo's folding display, automatically adjusting to different orientations and positions.
According to the Delta team's original announcement, version 2.0 also brings several improvements to the emulator's interface and supported gaming systems.
When the iPhone Duo is partially folded, Delta can display Nintendo DS gameplay across the two halves of its internal screen, with touchscreen controls positioned below the main game display.
The emulator also recreates one of the Nintendo DS's most recognizable features: closing the iPhone Duo automatically puts the emulated game into sleep mode.
Developer Riley Testut confirmed that the new controller layouts support both portrait and landscape orientations. Users can also take advantage of the phone's Split View multitasking features while running Delta.
Beyond Nintendo DS emulation, version 2.0 adds Sega Genesis support, complete with dedicated controller skins, save states, and cheat functionality.
The update also introduces animated controller skins, redesigned game library navigation, and a refreshed interface based on Apple's Liquid Glass design language.
Additional features include experimental support for physical cartridge accessories and upcoming downloadable content for classic Pokémon games.
Delta 2.0 is available through Apple's App Store, with AltStore PAL continuing to serve supported European users.
