Devil May Cry 5 Composer Releases New Song for Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen
Devil May Cry 5 composer Casey Edwards has returned to collaborate with Capcom on Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, releasing a new original song titled Burn the Sky.
The track, created alongside vocalist Ollie Swift, features the heavy metal sound associated with Edwards' previous work, including music from Devil May Cry 5.
According to Push Square, Edwards had previously hinted at his involvement with Dragon's Dogma 2 before the collaboration was officially revealed.
Despite being created for the expansion's promotional campaign, Burn the Sky reportedly does not appear during gameplay or the ending credits of Dark Arisen.
The decision has attracted attention from fans who remember the original Dragon's Dogma and its opening theme, Into Free -Dangan-, performed by Japanese rock duo B'z.
That song became closely associated with the first game following its 2012 release, although it was later removed from the original Dark Arisen edition, disappointing some players.
Edwards' latest composition has drawn comparisons to the earlier theme, particularly because of its energetic rock sound and connection to the Dragon's Dogma series.
However, Capcom has not announced plans to introduce Burn the Sky into the expansion through a future update.
Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen was released on October 9, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
The new song is available separately through its official music video and streaming platforms.
