Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Targets Late 2027 After Fan Feedback
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 is reportedly targeting the second half of 2027, narrowing its previously announced release window following feedback from players about the upcoming action RPG.
Bandai Namco had initially confirmed a 2027 launch without specifying a particular period. According to a new report from IGN, the game is now expected to arrive between July and December 2027.
Producer Masayuki Hirano explained that the development team has been reviewing player feedback and survey results, particularly concerning battle customization and player-versus-environment (PvE) missions.
The feedback has reportedly prompted internal discussions about improvements to the game, with the team focusing on both the launch experience and content planned for continued support after release.
Hirano also indicated that fans may need to wait longer for the next major update as development continues.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 takes place in AGE 1000, a new setting featuring West City and original characters created by Akira Toriyama. Players will create their own fighters and experience a new story set in the Dragon Ball universe.
According to Bandai Namco's official announcement, the character creation system includes six playable races, with Androids joining the series for the first time.
The game is confirmed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
While the reported second-half 2027 window provides a more specific target, Bandai Namco's official game page still lists the release year as 2027. An exact launch date has not been announced.
