EA Sports Officially Announces Fight Night Return After 15 Years

EA Sports has officially confirmed the return of Fight Night, bringing its long-running boxing video game franchise back after a 15-year absence.

The announcement was made on October 20, 2026, through the newly launched EA Sports Fight Night account on X, which shared a teaser image featuring red boxing gloves hanging above an empty boxing ring.

The image included the slogan "The Fight Is Never Over," while the accompanying message confirmed that the Fight Night series is coming back.

The announcement marks the first official confirmation of the franchise's revival since Fight Night Champion launched in March 2011 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Fight Night Champion became known for its realistic boxing mechanics, cinematic presentation, and story-driven Champion Mode, which followed the fictional boxer Andre Bishop.

Following that release, EA Sports shifted much of its attention toward the UFC franchise, leaving Fight Night without a new installment for more than a decade.

Although the announcement confirms that the series will return, Electronic Arts has not revealed the title of the upcoming game, its development studio, or its planned release window.

The publisher has also not announced which platforms will receive the new Fight Night game. PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC remain possible destinations, but none has been officially confirmed.

No gameplay footage, screenshots, boxer roster, or details about the fighting system were included in the initial announcement.

The teaser follows years of speculation about a potential revival of the franchise, including earlier reports that development plans had been delayed or reconsidered.

For now, EA Sports has provided only the first indication of what is coming next. Additional information about the new Fight Night game will be needed to establish its scope, features, and release plans.
