Fatekeeper Sells 500,000 Copies With Just 13 Developers

Fatekeeper has surpassed 500,000 copies sold on Steam, an impressive milestone for a fantasy RPG developed by a team of just 13 people while the game remains in Early Access.

Publisher THQ Nordic confirmed the achievement on October 21, 2026, less than five months after Fatekeeper entered Steam Early Access on June 2.

In its official sales announcement, THQ Nordic thanked players for supporting the game, sharing feedback, and helping the development team improve the experience.

Fatekeeper is developed by Paraglacial, a small German studio whose 13-person team has created a first-person action RPG built around melee combat, spellcasting, exploration, and character customization.

Players explore a handcrafted dark fantasy world featuring ancient battlefields, underground caverns, forests, and forgotten sanctuaries. Combat combines reactive swordplay with magic, while different weapons, armor sets, artifacts, and abilities allow players to experiment with their preferred builds.

The game's Early Access release is currently available on Steam for $9.99, according to THQ Nordic.

Despite reaching half a million sales, Fatekeeper is still an unfinished project. Its developers have explained on the official Steam page that the current version does not include all planned story content, progression mechanics, or supporting gameplay systems.

Paraglacial originally outlined an Early Access period of approximately 18 months, although that remains a development target rather than a guaranteed release date.

The 500,000-copy milestone is an officially announced sales figure, not an estimate, and gives the small development team a substantial audience as work continues on the full release.
