FC 27 Has Sold Nearly Eight Million Copies
EA Sports FC 27 has reportedly sold nearly eight million copies worldwide despite continued criticism over the lack of innovation and major changes compared to previous entries.
Following its release on September 25, 2026, Electronic Arts' latest football game has once again demonstrated the strength of the franchise in the video game market.
According to Instant Gaming News, EA Sports FC 27 has sold approximately 7.9 million copies, generating around $714 million in revenue.
These figures cover sales across Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms, while data from Nintendo consoles and the EA App is not included.
PlayStation consoles account for the largest share of sales at 77.1 percent. Xbox follows with 15 percent, while Steam represents around seven percent. In addition, 12.1 percent of the game's total revenue, equivalent to approximately $86.4 million, reportedly came from eighth-generation consoles.
The number of simultaneous and active players also reached a peak of approximately 7.7 million users on October 3, 2026.
The commercial performance of EA Sports FC 27 shows that the series continues to attract a large audience despite criticism from some players regarding the similarities between annual releases and the pace of innovation.
With millions of copies sold shortly after launch, EA Sports FC remains one of Electronic Arts' major franchises and continues to maintain a significant audience across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
