Forza Horizon 3 and Motorsport 5, 6 Get Xbox One PC Ports
Four Xbox One Forza games can now run on PC through Azimuth, an unofficial compatibility layer that has expanded beyond Forza Horizon 2 with the release of version 1.0.
Developer Almost There Games released the major update on October 26, 2026, adding support for Forza Horizon 3, Forza Motorsport 5, and Forza Motorsport 6.
According to the official Azimuth 1.0 announcement, the software runs the original Xbox One game code on PC while translating console-specific system and graphics calls.
The update introduces a redesigned launcher that automatically detects supported game folders, manages saves, and provides access to photo mode galleries.
All four games support adjustable resolutions, ultrawide displays, higher frame rates, HDR, and advanced graphics settings. Forza Horizon 3 also includes Xbox One X-quality settings through its High and Ultra presets.
Experimental steering wheel support is another major addition, including force feedback, adjustable rotation, and configurable shifters.
The developer reports performance improvements of up to 40%, alongside reduced stuttering and better frame timing. These figures describe Azimuth's optimization work rather than guaranteed frame-rate increases across every game.
A subsequent version 1.0.2 hotfix, released October 27, addresses Forza Motorsport 6 crashes on AMD RDNA 4 graphics cards and launcher problems affecting Proton users.
Azimuth supports Windows, with Linux compatibility available through Proton. However, demanding scenes can still cause performance drops, particularly on handheld hardware.
The project remains unofficial and requires users to supply legally obtained Xbox One game files. It is not affiliated with Microsoft or the Forza developers.
