GTA 5 Is Leaving PlayStation Plus on November 17
Sony has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto V will leave the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium Game Catalog on November 17, 2026, just two days before the release of GTA 6.
The company has started notifying PlayStation 5 users about the upcoming removal, giving subscribers approximately one month to play the Rockstar Games title before it disappears from the catalog.
According to PlayStation LifeStyle, Sony is encouraging players to revisit Los Santos while waiting for Grand Theft Auto VI, which launches on November 19.
The notification also gives subscribers the option to purchase GTA 5 or pre-order GTA 6 through the PlayStation Store.
Once GTA 5 leaves the catalog, Extra and Premium subscribers who have not purchased the game will lose access through their subscriptions. However, players who already own a digital or physical copy can continue playing normally.
The timing is particularly notable because GTA 6 arrives just 48 hours later, introducing players to Vice City and the new protagonists, Jason and Lucia.
GTA 5 is currently the first confirmed title scheduled to leave PlayStation Plus in November. Sony has not yet revealed the complete list of departing games.
Additional removals are expected to be announced around October 20, when the next PlayStation Plus catalog update becomes clearer.
Subscribers interested in completing GTA 5's story or revisiting its open world have until November 17 to access it through the service.
