GTA 6 Development Update Shows Progress on Bug Fixes

Rockstar Games is concentrating on fixing technical issues in Grand Theft Auto VI as the game approaches its scheduled November release, according to a new Bloomberg report.

Journalist Jason Schreier visited Rockstar North's headquarters in Edinburgh, Scotland, in late September, where he observed developers working on the final stages of the highly anticipated game.

During the visit, Schreier noticed several monitors displaying the studio's progress in resolving bugs. The screens featured green and red indicators representing completed fixes and outstanding issues.

According to the Bloomberg investigation, the number of green indicators exceeded the red ones, suggesting that Rockstar was making progress in addressing technical problems.

The observation offers an encouraging glimpse into GTA 6's current development status, particularly after the game experienced two delays.

Originally expected in 2025, GTA 6 was subsequently moved to May 2026 before Rockstar announced its current November release window.

However, the positive indicators do not necessarily mean that development is complete or that every remaining issue has been resolved. They also do not guarantee that the release date cannot change.

Rockstar has spent more than eight years developing GTA 6, with its teams working on a large open world, complex gameplay systems, and improvements to the company's underlying technology.

With the launch approaching, bug fixing and technical optimization remain important priorities for the studio.

Grand Theft Auto VI is currently scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
