GTA 6 PC Release Reportedly Planned for Early 2027
Rockstar Games is reportedly planning to release Grand Theft Auto VI on PC during the first quarter of 2027, potentially bringing the highly anticipated game to computer players just a few months after its console debut.
According to an exclusive GamesBeat report, four industry sources familiar with Rockstar's plans have indicated that the PC version is currently targeting a release between January and March 2027.
The sources requested anonymity, and Rockstar Games has not officially confirmed the reported launch window.
GTA 6 is scheduled to arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026. If the PC release follows in early 2027, the gap between platforms would be significantly shorter than with Grand Theft Auto V.
GTA V originally launched on consoles in September 2013, while its PC version arrived in April 2015, approximately 19 months later.
The report suggests that Rockstar may be interested in expanding GTA 6's audience more quickly, particularly as PC gaming and community-created content continue to play an important role in the Grand Theft Auto franchise.
Rockstar's acquisition of Cfx.re, the team behind the popular FiveM role-playing platform, in August 2023 also highlighted the company's interest in player-created experiences.
However, the reported PC release window remains subject to change. Rockstar has previously delayed GTA 6 to allow additional development and polishing time.
For now, November 19, 2026, remains the announced console release date, while PC players will have to wait for official confirmation from Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive.
