GTA 6 Review Copies Could Reach Critics Before November
Grand Theft Auto VI review copies could reach selected journalists before the end of October, according to a new claim from gaming insider NateTheHate.
The report suggests that critics may receive access to Rockstar Games' highly anticipated title several weeks before its scheduled November release, giving them additional time to evaluate the game.
The claim follows a separate report from Insider Gaming, which states that GTA 6 reviews are expected to be published before the game officially launches.
Insider Gaming also claims to have learned the preliminary review embargo date. However, the publication has chosen not to reveal it because the schedule could change before launch.
If NateTheHate's information proves accurate, selected reviewers could begin playing GTA 6 by late October. Such early access would provide time to explore its open world, complete story missions, and assess its various gameplay systems.
Questions remain about how Rockstar intends to distribute review copies. Earlier reports suggested that the company might restrict access to controlled review sessions rather than distribute traditional physical copies or digital codes.
Rockstar has not confirmed those arrangements, and it remains unclear whether journalists will receive unrestricted copies or access the game under special conditions.
For now, neither the review access schedule nor the embargo date has been officially announced.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
