Hitman: Absolution Nintendo Switch 2 Release Date Confirmed
Feral Interactive has officially announced that Hitman: Absolution – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will launch on October 22, 2026. The upgraded version of the stealth-action game introduces improved graphics, higher frame rates, and new control options designed for Nintendo's latest console.
According to Feral Interactive, the Nintendo Switch 2 edition features increased resolution in both handheld and docked modes. A new Performance mode targets 60 FPS, offering smoother gameplay than the original Switch release.
Visual improvements also include enhanced animations, more detailed environments, improved shadows, and better texture filtering. Players can also use Joy-Con 2 mouse controls for an alternative way to navigate the game and aim.
The Nintendo Switch 2 edition will launch at a discounted price of $29.99, representing a 25% reduction from its regular $39.99 price. The introductory offer runs through November 4, with the standard price taking effect on November 5.
Existing Nintendo Switch owners of Hitman: Absolution can download the Switch 2 Upgrade Pack for free during the same promotional period. Starting November 5, the upgrade will cost $9.99.
Feral Interactive also confirmed that Contracts mode will be available on launch day. This feature allows players to create custom challenges, share them online, and compete for high scores across supported platforms.
Originally released in 2012, Hitman: Absolution follows Agent 47 through a story-driven campaign focused on stealth, infiltration, and carefully planned missions.
The Nintendo Switch 2 edition arrives on October 22 through the Nintendo eShop, giving returning players an upgraded version of the game while introducing it to a new audience.
