Killzone Shadow Fall Gets Unofficial PC Port With 60 FPS

Killzone Shadow Fall, the PlayStation 4 exclusive developed by Guerrilla Games, has received an unofficial PC port that allows players to experience its entire single-player campaign on Windows with mouse and keyboard support.

According to DSOGaming, the first public version of the project was released on October 17, 2026. The port is currently in beta, meaning players may encounter technical issues despite the campaign being playable from beginning to end.

The unofficial release includes several PC-specific options, including 30 FPS and 60 FPS frame-rate limits, VSync, anisotropic filtering, adjustable display modes, and AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 1.

Mouse aiming and customizable keyboard controls are also supported, allowing players to experience the first-person shooter without relying on a controller.

However, the game currently renders internally at a fixed 1080p resolution. The developer explains that supporting higher resolutions requires modifications to multiple parts of the original code to prevent graphical problems, including incorrectly scaled effects and black borders.

Support for higher resolutions, potentially including 4K, is among the project's planned improvements.

The beta also has shader compilation issues. During the first campaign launch, shaders may take considerable time to compile, potentially causing temporary stuttering or crashes. Restarting the game can resolve some initial loading problems.

The project is not an official release from Sony or Guerrilla Games. Its files do not include the original game's assets, meaning players must supply their own compatible game files.

For PC players interested in experiencing Killzone Shadow Fall outside its original PlayStation platform, the unofficial port represents an early but significant development.
