Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days PC Port 0.1.4 Restores Stop Magic
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days has received another major update to its unofficial native PC port, with version 0.1.4 restoring an unfinished magic ability and expanding the game's HD presentation and modding features.
Developer Yokimitsuro released the update on October 23, 2026, building on the Nintendo DS game's decompiled code rather than relying on traditional emulation.
The biggest addition is Stop magic, a feature left unfinished in the original game. According to the official GitHub release notes, the port restores Stop, Stopra, and Stopga, allowing enemies to be frozen temporarily before accumulated damage is applied.
The restored spells can be synthesized through the Moogle Shop. They also support multiplayer, while an optional setting disables the feature to preserve the original Nintendo DS experience.
Version 0.1.4 introduces HD fonts derived from Kingdom Hearts II assets supplied through the player's own HD collection. The changes extend across menus, tutorials, shops, mission screens, and dialogue.
Audio processing has also been refined to reduce metallic distortion and clipping. Players who prefer the original sound can retain the Nintendo DS audio behavior.
Modding receives expanded scripting capabilities, enabling custom game modes, enemy encounters, mission behavior, and interface elements.
HD cutscenes now transition more smoothly into gameplay, while additional fixes address graphical flickering, mission crashes, and mod compatibility.
The port remains a work in progress, currently targeting Windows PCs. It is not affiliated with Square Enix or Disney.
The project contains no copyrighted game assets and requires a legally obtained European copy of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days.
