Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered Reportedly Runs on Xbox Series X

Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered has reportedly been demonstrated running on Xbox Series X through an unofficial method, allowing the PC version of Insomniac Games' PlayStation title to operate on Microsoft's console.

Content creator DaddyPrinceWorld is credited with demonstrating the experiment using Xbox Developer Mode, which allows developers to test software outside the console's standard retail environment.

The demonstration reportedly involves running the Windows PC version of Spider-Man Remastered rather than emulating the original PlayStation release or streaming gameplay from another device.

According to accounts of the project, the setup requires a developer account, additional software, and access to the game's PC files.

However, the experiment faces significant technical limitations. Xbox Developer Mode restricts the memory available to applications, reportedly leaving approximately 5GB for the game and its graphics requirements.

These restrictions can cause visual problems, crashes, and reduced graphical settings.

Some reports claim that performance approaches 60 FPS, while the supplied account suggests that certain scenes can reach approximately 80 FPS. These figures have not been independently verified and should not be considered stable performance targets.

The creator reportedly hopes that future improvements, including precompiled shaders, could reduce technical issues.

The demonstration does not represent an official Xbox release of Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered. Sony and Insomniac Games have not announced plans to bring the game to Xbox consoles.

For now, the project remains an experimental attempt to run a PlayStation-published PC game on competing console hardware.
