Marvel's Wolverine Reportedly Sells 2.5 Million Copies

Marvel's Wolverine has reportedly sold 2.5 million copies worldwide, generating approximately $192.9 million in revenue, according to new estimates from gaming market research firm Alinea Analytics.

The PlayStation 5 exclusive, developed by Insomniac Games, has attracted a substantial audience since its September 2026 launch, although Sony has yet to confirm the latest sales figures.

According to a report published by IXBT Games, approximately one-third of the game's sales came from physical copies, with digital purchases accounting for the remainder.

Alinea Analytics also shared new information about player engagement. Its estimates suggest that roughly two-thirds of players have spent more than 10 hours in the game, while 54% have played for over 15 hours.

Meanwhile, 31% of players have recorded more than 20 hours of gameplay, indicating that a significant portion of the audience continued exploring beyond the main storyline.

The data also suggests that approximately half of Marvel's Wolverine players have completed the main campaign. However, only 12% have earned the Platinum Trophy, which requires completing additional objectives.

The main story reportedly takes around 12 to 15 hours to finish, with relatively limited optional content available afterward.

Analysts suggest that the game's shorter, single-player structure could encourage some physical edition owners to resell or exchange their copies after completing the campaign.

Despite these estimates, the actual commercial performance of Marvel's Wolverine remains subject to official confirmation from Sony or Insomniac Games.
