Microsoft Unveils Xbox Nano Controller for $49.99

Microsoft has officially announced the Xbox Nano, a compact wireless controller designed for portable gaming, younger players, and people who prefer smaller controllers.

Priced at $49.99, the new accessory offers the familiar Xbox controller layout in a significantly smaller design that can fit into a pocket.

According to The Verge, the Xbox Nano measures just over five inches in length, making it shorter than most modern smartphones.

Despite its compact size, Microsoft has retained the standard Xbox buttons and controls, allowing players to use the device without learning a different layout.

The controller supports Xbox Wireless and Bluetooth connectivity, making it compatible with Xbox consoles, Windows PCs, smartphones, and tablets.

Unlike traditional Xbox controllers that typically use AA batteries, the Xbox Nano includes a built-in rechargeable battery. A USB-C port on the back provides a convenient charging connection.

Microsoft has also introduced a programmable Action Button, which users can customize for functions such as taking screenshots, recording gameplay, or accessing Xbox shortcuts.

Earlier leaks suggested that the controller would feature a small display for connection information. However, Microsoft has confirmed that the final model does not include a screen.

The Xbox Nano is available for pre-order through selected retailers, including Amazon, Walmart, and Microsoft, with shipping scheduled to begin in November 2026.

With its smaller dimensions and rechargeable design, the controller offers another option for Xbox players who want a more portable gaming accessory.
