Modern Warfare 4 Preload and Early Access Dates Confirmed
Activision has confirmed the preload and early access schedule for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, allowing digital pre-order customers to experience the campaign and DMZ mode before the game's official launch.
According to the official Call of Duty website, PC players who digitally pre-purchased the game can begin preloading on October 15, 2026, at 9 AM Pacific Time.
Campaign Early Access begins on October 16, giving eligible players an opportunity to complete the single-player story one week before the full release.
The new DMZ extraction mode will then become available through Early Access on October 20. Players will be able to explore its environments, complete objectives, collect equipment, and participate in encounters against AI-controlled enemies and other players.
Both early access benefits are available to eligible customers who purchase the Standard Digital Edition or Vault Edition.
Activision has confirmed that these benefits extend to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC through Steam and Battle.net, and Nintendo Switch 2. However, the exact early access start times may vary by platform and region.
The full version of Modern Warfare 4 launches on October 23, 2026, introducing the complete multiplayer experience alongside its campaign and DMZ mode.
While the PC preload schedule has been announced, Activision has not provided a complete preload timetable for every console platform.
Players should also note that early access availability may be affected by regional time differences or technical interruptions.
