Modern Warfare 4 Reportedly Won't Have a Platinum Trophy
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will reportedly launch without a Platinum Trophy on PlayStation, continuing a controversial trend associated with Activision's Call of Duty HQ launcher.
The upcoming shooter from Infinity Ward is expected to appear within the existing Call of Duty application rather than as a completely separate game.
According to IXBT Games, this approach means PlayStation will treat Modern Warfare 4 as additional content under Call of Duty HQ.
Players will still be able to unlock trophies by completing campaign missions and other challenges, but the game reportedly won't feature its own Platinum Trophy.
The decision could disappoint PlayStation trophy hunters who prefer earning a Platinum Trophy for completing major releases.
Meanwhile, PlayStation Game Size has shared preliminary information about the game's download packages.
The reported file sizes include:
- Modern Warfare 4 Base Package: 28.702 GB
- Campaign Pack: 42.171 GB
- Multiplayer Pack: 20.770 GB
- DMZ Pack 01: 5.777 GB
- Shared Content Pack 01: 19.602 GB
- Warzone Pack: 42.033 GB
A second DMZ package has also been identified, although its download size remains unknown.
These packages suggest that players will be able to download different components separately, depending on which modes they want to access.
However, the listed sizes are preliminary and may change before release. They should not be interpreted as the final installation size of the complete game.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled to launch on October 23, 2026, with additional details expected closer to release.
