Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 Adds Six Maps and New DMZ Area
Activision has revealed the Season 1 roadmap for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, confirming new multiplayer maps, weapons, game modes, and a major expansion to DMZ.
The season begins on November 6, 2026, at midnight Eastern Time, with three multiplayer maps available immediately and additional locations arriving later.
According to the official Call of Duty Season 1 announcement, the launch lineup includes Backstab, a snow-covered town damaged by conflict, Canyon, a rocky desert environment, and a redesigned version of Shoot House set in North Korea.
Ministry and Overflow will arrive during the mid-season update, alongside at least one additional map that Activision has not yet revealed.
Multiplayer also receives Grind and Drop Zone, while Gauntlet 1v1 joins the Wager Match event. Infected and Possession are scheduled for the pre-season Halloween period.
The update expands DMZ with X01, a heavily guarded underground weapons facility featuring interconnected tunnels, laboratories, new objectives, and additional threats.
Ghost will guide players through new DMZ Orders, while the facility introduces more challenging encounters and valuable equipment.
Season 1 also adds the CSG-35 submachine gun and Cronen Osprey assault rifle. The JAK 12 shotgun and ZLR Talonhawk melee weapon are scheduled for later in the season.
Call of Duty: Warzone will receive integration with Modern Warfare 4, including the Hajin and Zodiac maps. Activision plans to share additional Warzone details on November 2.
The Season 1 update will be available across all supported Modern Warfare 4 platforms.
