Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate PC Port Gets 0.10.1 Update

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate's unofficial native PC port has received version 0.10.1, addressing gameplay timing problems that affected certain monster attacks at higher frame rates.

Released on October 27, 2026, the update is part of MHGU Recomp, an open-source project developed by morerokk that converts the Nintendo Switch game's 32-bit ARM code into a native PC application through static recompilation.

According to the official GitHub release notes, version 0.10.1 fixes an issue that caused jumping attacks from Zinogre, Duramboros, Volvidon, and other monsters sharing the Arzuros skeleton to execute too quickly when running above the original frame rate.

The developer notes that similar attacks from other monsters may also benefit, although additional testing is still required.

MHGU Recomp supports Windows and Linux, using Vulkan to render the game's graphics without running a conventional Nintendo Switch emulator.

The project already includes configurable graphics settings, frame-rate limits reaching 240 FPS, controller compatibility, and experimental keyboard and mouse input.

Multiplayer is functional through the game's local wireless mode, including connections between PCs over local networks or configured internet connections. The original Nintendo Switch online service is not supported.

The port also supports existing save files and community modifications, including compatible Forge plugins. Earlier updates addressed Forge-related crashes, Linux startup problems, and Steam Deck display issues.

The developer describes the game as fully playable while acknowledging that bugs may remain.

MHGU Recomp is not affiliated with Capcom and requires files from a legally obtained copy of Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate updated to version 1.4.0.
