No Man's Sky Coming to iPhone and iPad on October 28, 2026
Hello Games has officially announced that No Man's Sky will launch on iPhone and iPad on October 28, 2026, bringing its space exploration experience to Apple mobile devices for the first time.
The iOS version includes more than 40 major updates released over the past decade, including Voyagers and the recent COSMOS update. Despite the game's enormous procedurally generated universe, the download size will be under 4GB.
No Man's Sky Will Support iPhone 11 and Older iPads
According to the official announcement from Hello Games, the mobile version has been optimized to run on devices starting with the iPhone 11 and third-generation iPad Air.
The development team has redesigned the touch controls and interface specifically for mobile devices. Players will also be able to use external controllers, cast gameplay to a television, and connect a mouse and keyboard when playing on iPad.
Hello Games has also worked on reducing battery consumption and device heating to make longer gaming sessions more comfortable.
The mobile release includes the main exploration, crafting, survival, and spaceship gameplay found on other platforms. However, multiplayer will not be available at launch, while Planetary Settlements will require an iPhone 15 Pro or newer.
Free Trial and App Store Availability
No Man's Sky will be available to try for free before purchasing the complete game. The full version will be unlocked through a one-time purchase, with no additional charges for future content updates.
Pre-orders are already available through the Apple App Store.
Hello Games has confirmed that the mobile version will continue receiving support based on player feedback and interest following its release.
The launch marks another major platform expansion for No Man's Sky, ten years after its original debut in 2016.
