PES 2017 Xbox 360 Port Runs on Android With 60 FPS Tests

Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 is now playable on Android through an unofficial native port that brings the original Xbox 360 version of Konami's football game to modern smartphones.

Developed by dzakyraf, the project uses static recompilation to convert the game's PowerPC code into native ARM64 code, eliminating the need for traditional Xbox 360 emulation.

According to the official PES 2017 Android GitHub repository, the port uses XenonRecomp, an Android runtime, and Vulkan graphics rendering.

Early testing shows promising results across several devices. The developer reported approximately 40–60 FPS on a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE with Snapdragon 865, while the Retroid Pocket 6 reached 60 FPS using Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 hardware.

Performance was lower on the Poco X7 Pro, which reportedly achieved around 20–30 FPS during testing.

The Android version includes customizable touchscreen controls, external controller support, widescreen rendering, adjustable graphics quality, and selectable frame rate limits.

Additional features include FSR 1 upscaling, custom Turnip driver support on compatible Adreno devices, and local multiplayer using two controllers.

The project currently requires Android 8.0 or newer, an ARM64 processor, Vulkan support, and approximately 9GB of available storage during installation.

However, the port remains experimental. Players may encounter graphical glitches, texture problems, performance drops, and other compatibility issues.

The application does not include copyrighted game assets. Users must provide their own compatible European Xbox 360 copy of PES 2017.

The first public release became available on October 24, 2026, with development continuing to improve performance and stability.
