PES 6 Now Runs in Browsers at 60 FPS With Online Multiplayer

Pro Evolution Soccer 6 is now playable directly in modern web browsers through an unofficial project that brings the classic football game back with online multiplayer, local matches, and an experimental 60 FPS mode.

Developed by OptiJuegos, the project is based on the PlayStation Portable version of PES 6 and uses WebAssembly to run the game through a browser without requiring a traditional installation.

According to the developer's original announcement on X, the project introduces expanded controls, including L2 and R2 inputs, alongside local multiplayer and online matches through dedicated rooms.

Players can create or join multiplayer sessions, connect controllers, or use keyboard and touchscreen controls on compatible devices.

The browser version also supports importing PSP save files and Option Files, allowing players to restore existing progress and customized teams.

A 60 FPS option is available, although the developer describes it as experimental. Players experiencing performance problems can switch back to 30 FPS or lower the internal rendering resolution.

Recent improvements include WebGL 2 optimizations, redesigned camera views, and a new online relay server intended to reduce connection delays.

The developer has also added the Mexican Liga MX 2007, featuring 18 clubs with their original squads, uniforms, and badges.

Other improvements address audio interruptions and graphical performance, although older smartphones may still struggle to maintain a stable frame rate.

PES 6 Web Online remains an unofficial fan project with no affiliation with Konami. Online stability and performance depend on the browser, hardware, and network connection.
