Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu Gets Experimental Native iOS Port

An unofficial project called PokeNX2iOS aims to bring the Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! to iPhone and iPad through native execution rather than conventional console emulation.

Developed by RikyXerez, the project provides a macOS-based tool designed to generate an iOS IPA application using technology from the existing NXnative project.

According to the official PokeNX2iOS GitHub repository, the system executes compatible Nintendo Switch game code on Apple silicon while translating graphics operations to Apple's Metal API.

The initial implementation targets Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! exclusively, requiring the original Nintendo Switch game and its version 1.0.2 update. Other Pokémon titles are not currently supported.

The developer describes several game-specific modifications, including adjustments to video playback, audio, controller handling, fullscreen presentation, and shader processing.

Optional features include an adapted widescreen display mode and a modification introducing traditional wild Pokémon battles. However, the developer warns that wild battles can cause crashes before a particular in-game feature becomes available.

PokeNX2iOS also includes an option for Spanish-language configuration and touchscreen controls.

Despite the project's public GitHub repository, its modified NXnative branch, named unificado2, has not yet been publicly released. As a result, the published files alone do not provide the complete set of game-specific improvements described by the developer.

No independent full-game compatibility testing has been established.

The project does not distribute Nintendo game files and requires assets from the user's own copy.

PokeNX2iOS is an experimental community project and is not affiliated with Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, or Game Freak.
