PS4 Xbox Controller Plugin 1.4.2 Adds Stick Drift Fixes

Xbox Controller Plugin v1.4.2 has been released for jailbroken PlayStation 4 consoles, introducing automatic stick drift calibration, a live controller testing interface, and improvements to vibration handling.

Developer ChiricoG published the update on October 26, 2026, expanding the capabilities of the GoldHEN plugin and its optional companion configuration application.

According to the official GitHub release notes, the configurator now includes a dedicated input testing screen that displays analog stick movement, trigger pressure, bumper activity, and vibration feedback in real time.

The new stick drift calibration feature measures controller movement while the analog sticks are resting. It collects 180 samples over three seconds to calculate a suitable deadzone that can reduce unintended movement.

Version 1.4.2 also introduces isolated Xbox controller input testing, preventing DualShock 4 signals from interfering with diagnostic measurements.

Additional fixes address vibration behavior on Xbox One and Xbox Series controllers, including corrections to motor control data.

The plugin supports wired Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and compatible third-party XInput controllers. Selected wired Nintendo Switch controllers are also supported.

Earlier updates introduced automatic switching between single-player and local multiplayer modes. With one PS4 user signed in, the controller operates as Player 1, while multiple signed-in users allow automatic assignment to Player 2.

Hotplugging support also allows compatible controllers to be disconnected and reconnected during gameplay.

However, wireless Xbox connections remain unsupported, and the plugin requires a jailbroken PS4 running GoldHEN.

The project remains an unofficial homebrew modification rather than a native controller feature provided by Sony.
