PS5-ECAM 5.0.1 Adds Nintendo Switch Emulation to PS5
PS5-ECAM 5.0.1 brings Nintendo Switch emulation to jailbroken PlayStation 5 consoles, expanding the unofficial homebrew application into a unified launcher supporting four Nintendo systems.
Developer premohq released the update on October 22, 2026, following the project's rebranding from PS5CEMU-HAR. The application now combines Cemu for Wii U, Azahar for Nintendo 3DS, melonDS for Nintendo DS, and Eden for Nintendo Switch.
According to the official GitHub release notes, Nintendo Switch games can now launch directly through PS5-ECAM's interface, with a dedicated loading screen and integrated in-game menu.
Players can adjust upscaling, FSR sharpening, anti-aliasing, frame generation, controller settings, and docked or handheld modes. The application also includes performance monitoring and additional configuration options.
The update expands Nintendo 3DS functionality with anaglyph 3D support, camera input for QR codes, and improved screen rotation. Fixes also address issues affecting Artic Setup on certain devices.
Wii U improvements include fixes for Wii Party U minigames and more reliable handling of game updates and downloadable content.
Other changes address crashes when exiting games, stalled downloads, and graphic pack management. USB backups now include additional settings and Nintendo Switch save data.
The application supports 31 interface languages and offers smartphone-based touchscreen functionality for compatible games.
However, PS5-ECAM remains an experimental community project. Game compatibility and performance vary, and the software requires a PS5 capable of running homebrew applications.
It is not affiliated with Nintendo or Sony and does not include commercial games, firmware, or encryption keys.
