PS5 Jailbreak Gets Automatic Store Launch With ESP32-S3

A new demonstration shows a PlayStation 5 jailbreak launching automatically from the console's Store tile using an ESP32-S3 USB keyboard, reducing the need for manual controller input during startup.

The setup combines WK Autoloader Store, a community-developed PS5 jailbreak launcher, with a programmable ESP32-S3 device that sends keyboard commands after the console starts.

According to the demonstration's description, the ESP32 firmware version 1.0.1 waits approximately 18.5 seconds after receiving power before sending its programmed inputs. The video reportedly shows the launcher being uninstalled, installed again, and activated following a console restart.

The underlying WK Autoloader project, developed by X-F1REBALL-X, replaces the PlayStation Store tile with a locally hosted WebKit interface. Once installed, users can open the tile to start the supported jailbreak chain and access Elf Launcher.

The latest publicly documented Store release, version 1.1.4, improves installation reliability by clearing outdated WebKit cache files and addressing interrupted downloads.

WK Autoloader Store supports the Relapse exploit chain on PS5 firmware versions 7.00 through 13.60, according to the developer. Initial installation requires an existing jailbreak environment and an ELF loader.

The ESP32-S3 demonstration adds automated input to this process rather than introducing a new exploit or expanding firmware compatibility.

However, the precise 18.5-second timing and hands-free startup sequence have not been independently verified against the original video or ESP32 firmware release.

The project remains unofficial, and jailbreak reliability can vary depending on the console's firmware and configuration.
