Rayman 3 HD Recompiled Brings Xbox 360 Game to PC

Rayman 3 HD has received an unofficial native Windows port through static recompilation, bringing the Xbox 360 remaster of Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc to modern PCs without requiring an Xbox 360 emulator.

Developer MysteriousAeon released version 1.0.1 on October 25, 2026, confirming that the entire game can be completed. The developer finished two full playthroughs during testing, although compatibility across different PC configurations remains limited.

According to the official Rayman 3 HD Recompiled GitHub repository, the project uses ReXGlue to convert Xbox 360 PowerPC code into native PC-compatible code. The technology builds on research from Xenia and XenonRecomp rather than running the game through traditional runtime emulation.

The port introduces optional HD+ visual improvements, including corrections to broken textures in Hoodlum HQ. It also restores subtitles during gameplay, adds a Turkish translation, and supports compatible texture, text, and subtitle modifications.

Controller features include Xbox-compatible gamepads and PlayStation DualSense enhancements. Supported DualSense controllers can display dynamic lightbar colors and adjustable adaptive trigger resistance. Customizable keyboard controls, local achievements, and Discord Rich Presence are also available.

Rayman 3 HD Recompiled requires 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, a Direct3D 12-compatible graphics card, and approximately 2.3GB of storage. Players must own a legally obtained copy of the original Xbox 360 HD release.

The project remains unofficial and unaffiliated with Ubisoft. Known limitations include occasional graphical problems, a rare audio-initialization crash, and hardware compatibility that has not yet been extensively tested.
