Shrek 2 Remastered PC Requirements Demand RTX 4060 Minimum
DreamWorks Shrek 2 Remastered has revealed its official PC system requirements, with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 listed among the minimum graphics cards needed to run the updated version of the 2004 adventure game.
According to the official Steam store page, the minimum specifications include an AMD Ryzen 5 5600 or Intel Core i5-12400F processor, 16GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 or RTX 3060 Ti graphics card.
AMD users will need a Radeon RX 7600 or RX 6700 XT, with 12GB of video memory preferred for the latter.
The game also requires Windows 10 or Windows 11, DirectX 12, and 12GB of available storage space.
For the recommended configuration, Aspyr lists an AMD Ryzen 7 7700X or Ryzen 5 7600X, or an Intel Core i5-14600K or Core i7-13700K.
The recommended graphics cards include NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 4070 or RTX 5070, alongside AMD's Radeon RX 7800 XT or RX 9070.
Steam currently lists 16GB of RAM for both the minimum and recommended configurations, although the Epic Games Store lists 32GB for its recommended specifications.
The relatively demanding GPU requirements stand out for a remastered version of a game originally released in 2004. However, Aspyr has not specified the resolution, graphics settings, or frame-rate targets associated with either hardware configuration.
DreamWorks Shrek 2 Remastered features improved textures, updated cutscenes, enhanced interface elements, and support for 4K resolution.
The remaster also introduces Photo Mode, Cheat Mode, and cooperative multiplayer for up to four players through local, online, or mixed play.
Aspyr officially announced the game on October 20, confirming that it will launch on November 10, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
The PC version will be available through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
