Silent Hill 1 Remake Reportedly Targets 2027 Release
The Silent Hill 1 Remake from Bloober Team is reportedly targeting a 2027 release, with new casting information suggesting that production on the revival of Konami's 1999 horror game is progressing.
According to an October 26 investigation by MP1st, the project is using the casting codename Project Noise. The report identifies two actresses associated with the production: Gabrielle Fritz and Jade Matthew.
Fritz has previously worked on games including Battlefield 2042, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, and Luna Abyss. Matthew has also been linked to the video game industry through Dragon Nest.
Neither actress's role has been disclosed. The original Silent Hill features several prominent female characters, including police officer Cybil Bennett, nurse Lisa Garland, and Dahlia Gillespie, but there is no confirmation that either performer will portray them.
The report also notes that casting information for Harry Mason, the original game's protagonist, has not surfaced.
Separately, the remake has previously been associated with the internal codename Project G, although its relationship to Project Noise has not been officially explained.
Konami and Bloober Team confirmed development of a remake of the first Silent Hill in June 2025, following their collaboration on the 2024 Silent Hill 2 remake.
The reported 2027 target would fit Konami's stated ambition to maintain a regular schedule of Silent Hill releases. However, development timelines can change, and neither company has announced an official release window.
The casting details and proposed launch year remain unconfirmed reports rather than announcements from the publisher.
