Street Fighter 6 Adds Arjun in Latest Update

Capcom has released a new update for Street Fighter 6, introducing Arjun as the latest playable fighter alongside additional character content and a new launch trailer.

The Indian fighter joins the roster with a unique combat style that combines powerful strikes, grappling techniques, and controlled breathing to strengthen his attacks.

According to GamingBolt, Arjun's fighting techniques differ significantly from those of Dhalsim, another Indian character in the series.

While Dhalsim relies on yoga-inspired abilities and extended attacks, Arjun uses specialized breathing techniques to enhance his physical movements and create powerful air-based attacks.

One of his signature abilities, Breathing Shockwave, allows him to launch a concentrated ring of air toward opponents, creating opportunities to pressure enemies from a distance.

Arjun also features three Super Arts, including Instant Oblivion, which sends opponents flying, and Yaksha's Order, a cinematic finishing attack designed to disrupt an opponent's balance.

The update introduces Arjun's Arcade mode storyline, along with new activities and rewards in Battle Tour and Avatar Arcade. Players can also access two outfits for the new fighter.

Additionally, Capcom has released C. Viper's fourth outfit as part of the latest content update.

Looking ahead, Street Fighter 6 is expected to receive Tifa Lockhart and Bosch as additional playable characters in 2027, although exact release dates have not been announced.

Street Fighter 6 is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
