Tekken Tag Tournament 2 PC Port Adds Rollback and Ranked Online

Tekken Tag Tournament 2's unofficial native PC port has received version 0.1.7, introducing rollback netcode, ranked online multiplayer, community servers, and major graphics improvements.

Released on October 23 by developer shihabal3amri, the update significantly expands the Xbox 360 game's functionality on Windows without relying on traditional console emulation.

According to the official GitHub release notes, rollback netcode now allows online matches to compensate for unstable connections by predicting player inputs and correcting gameplay when network data arrives.

Players can adjust the balance between input delay and rollback through several configuration presets.

Version 0.1.7 also introduces community-hosted servers that restore ranked matches, leaderboards, team functionality, replays, and downloadable player ghosts. Servers can run on Windows or Linux, with an optional web-based administration panel.

Steam friend invitations are now supported, while two players sharing one PC can participate together in online Tag Team matches.

Graphics improvements include shader precompilation during installation, eliminating the compilation-related stutter previously experienced during fights.

Additional settings introduce FXAA anti-aliasing, adjustable sharpening, anisotropic texture filtering, optional VSync, and the ability to disable shadows.

Lower rendering resolutions of 360p and 540p are also available for older PCs.

The port continues to support resolutions up to 4K at 60 FPS.

Online players must both use version 0.1.7, with Steam running. Installation requires a legally obtained Xbox 360 copy of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Title Update 3.

The project remains unofficial and is not affiliated with Bandai Namco.
