The Blood of Dawnwalker Update 1.1 Improves Combat and Adds 1,100 Fixes

The Blood of Dawnwalker has received its first major post-launch update, introducing significant combat improvements, a new difficulty setting, and more than 1,100 fixes and gameplay adjustments.

Developer Rebel Wolves and publisher Bandai Namco released Update 1.1 on October 22, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

According to Bandai Namco's official announcement, the patch focuses on improving combat responsiveness, camera movement, character progression, and overall accessibility.

One of the biggest changes affects the targeting system. Players can now lock onto enemies and disengage more reliably, while revised camera behavior provides greater freedom during close-range encounters.

The update also introduces the Draught of Mind Rebirth, a new potion that allows players to reset their Swordmastery, Witchcraft, and Vampirism abilities and redistribute previously invested skill points.

A new, easier Story difficulty has been added with additional combat assistance. The previous Story setting has been renamed Forgiving, giving players more control over the challenge.

Traversal has also been refined, with improved surface targeting and attachment when using Coen's Shadowstep and Planeshift abilities.

Other additions include the ability to pet friendly animals, expanded subtitle customization, and improvements to frame-generation technology with dedicated graphics settings.

The patch also addresses numerous technical issues involving controls, gameplay interactions, and progression.

With more than 1,100 improvements and fixes included, Update 1.1 represents the largest overhaul The Blood of Dawnwalker has received since its September 2026 launch.
