Wardogs Sells 3.5 Million Copies on Steam in September 2026

Wardogs has sold an estimated 3.5 million copies on Steam, making it the best-selling new Steam release of September 2026, according to the latest sales report from GameDiscoverCo.

The 100-player tactical first-person shooter entered Early Access on September 10 and quickly became one of the month's biggest commercial successes. Its estimated Steam revenue reached approximately $110 million by the end of September.

According to GameDiscoverCo, Wardogs also recorded a peak of around 420,000 concurrent players. The game continued attracting approximately 200,000 concurrent players at daily peaks following its initial launch.

The indie co-op game Bombanana! ranked second among September's new Steam releases, selling more than one million copies. Onimusha: Way of the Sword followed with approximately 730,000 Steam sales and nearly two million copies across all platforms.

The Blood of Dawnwalker ranked fourth with around 650,000 Steam copies sold, while EA Sports FC 27 completed the top five with approximately 420,000 sales on Valve's platform.

Wardogs also performed strongly on Twitch, generating approximately 42 million hours watched during September. That figure placed it ahead of EA Sports FC 27 and other major releases in the streaming rankings.

Console sales followed a different pattern. EA Sports FC 27 led PlayStation's September releases with more than six million estimated copies sold, followed by NBA 2K27 with over four million.

The figures highlight Wardogs' strong Early Access debut despite competition from established gaming franchises. However, GameDiscoverCo's sales and revenue numbers remain third-party estimates rather than officially confirmed financial results.
