Wo Long 2 Reveals Major Combat and Performance Improvements
Team NINJA has revealed major improvements planned for Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember following player feedback from its recent Alpha Demo, including combat adjustments, better performance, and faster loading times.
Publisher Koei Tecmo released the official feedback report on October 22, 2026, outlining changes the development team intends to implement before the game's launch.
According to the official Team NINJA feedback report, developers will simplify the Insight Skill system, improve its detection accuracy, and expand the timing windows for successful defensive actions.
The Spirit system will also receive balance adjustments, while Martial Arts and Wizardry Spells will become more powerful to encourage aggressive combat.
Additional improvements include better aerial attacks, more reliable targeting, and the ability to switch weapons while airborne.
Team NINJA is also addressing technical issues identified during the Alpha Demo, including unstable frame rates, lengthy loading screens, and graphical pop-in.
Visual improvements will focus on texture quality, distant character models, and lighting, particularly in darker environments.
The development team also plans to improve camera movement, controller customization, and keyboard input responsiveness.
Online multiplayer will receive stability improvements, including a fix for an issue that prevented cooperative progress from being saved correctly.
The Alpha Demo was available from September 16 to September 30, 2026, allowing players to explore the Changban battlefield and experience the sequel's updated combat mechanics.
Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember launches on March 4, 2027, for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, with day-one availability through Xbox Game Pass.
