WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 Runs in Browsers With Online Mode
WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 is now accessible through modern web browsers thanks to an unofficial fan project that also introduces experimental online multiplayer for two players.
The browser version is based on the original PlayStation Portable release and uses PSP Web Recomp technology to run the game through WebAssembly and WebGL without requiring a traditional game installation.
Developed by a community creator known as Slayoner, the project features single-player matches alongside an online interface designed to connect players through the PSP game's original Ad Hoc multiplayer system.
Players can create private rooms, share invitation codes, or join public sessions. The website also includes community chat, private room messaging, and leaderboards tracking multiplayer activity.
However, online functionality remains experimental. Although the main interface provides multiplayer controls, the project's English documentation still describes online versus as a feature under development.
The browser version supports keyboard input and USB or Bluetooth controllers, with customizable key bindings and fullscreen gameplay.
Graphics options include adjustable internal rendering resolution and image smoothing, allowing players to balance visual quality and performance depending on their hardware.
Game progress is stored through a virtual PSP memory card inside the browser. Save files can also be exported and imported when switching computers.
The project uses PSP Web Recomp, an open-source technology developed by snuri00 for running compatible PSP software through modern web technologies.
Chrome and Microsoft Edge are recommended, while mobile compatibility depends on browser support and device performance.
This remains an unofficial fan project with no affiliation with WWE, THQ, or Yuke's. Successful online matches have not been independently verified, and multiplayer stability is not guaranteed.
